MISSIOLOGY 101

It was not too long ago I wrote about a mission project we were doing as a church on Wednesday nights. To refresh the memories of those who might not remember, we took on a house painting project of a man who lives across the street from the church. As you can see from the picture above the house needed a fresh coat of paint and a little sprucing up. The members of JPBC accepted the project and on two Wednesday nights the members walked across the street and scraped and painted. Three of our men took a third Wednesday and finished up a few unfinished areas.

This project did several things for us. It excited us about doing missions right here in our own community. It brought a great time of fellowship among those who participated. It also freshened up our neighborhood a little bit.

The weather is changing but we are committed to finding projects God brings to us and accepting His projects with love and grace.

I took a picture (with my cell phone) of the house, painted, today but for some reason I can not figure out how to send it to myself. I will figure this out and post it as soon as I can.
