THE BATTLE THAT RAGES

Spiritual Warfare does not come in huge conflict among many individuals, only. Spiritual warfare comes in all shapes and sizes. Spiritual warfare is best understood as the battle in a persons life to walk in line with God's perfect will or walk outside His will. This is something every person on earth faces. Spiritual warfare is not just a Christians problem. The enemy is on the lookout and attack of anyone, lost or saved who is contemplating living their life for Jesus. When the enemy gets word of such desires, they step up their battle plans to keep you away from God and closer to them.

Spiritual warfare may offer you something sweet or something bitter. It may bring pleasure (for a season) or disappointment. Spiritual warfare must not be known as a single source of conflict but understood that the enemy has an arsenal of weapons to use against each of us.

An example of spiritual warfare in a Christians life can be seen in our behavior or language. A Christian who uses the Lord's name when they are not speaking to Him or about Him in a manner to bring Him glory is losing the spiritual battle. The enemy wants us to believe that saying "God" or "Jesus" or even texting "OMG" is cool, hip and even acceptable. The thing is, the enemy is right, partly. The enemy is right in that these things are acceptable to some but what he does not want us to know is that they are acceptable to the wrong crowd. He does not want us to know that these things are unacceptable to the One who died to save us from our sin, who set us free so we did not have to live in bondage to the fallen world system. Yes, bondage. Living by a sub standard value system is bondage. I now it may not "feel" like bondage but regardless --- it is bondage.

God will not let me let go of the belief that He is up to something big and He wants us to be a part of it. For this to happen we must come together and unite around the person of Jesus Christ, structure the ministries and work we do only by His leadership which points us to His will. We must lay aside anything which hinders us and join His cause.

To do less is to lose the spiritual battle God wants us to win.

Can we come together for this reason and press forward, towards the prize of glory? I'm on board.
